This course is designed to introduce technicians to the new Goodman Side Discharge split-system, high efficiency air conditioners and heat pumps. These new Goodman air conditioning & heat pump systems offer a communicating, variable-speed, inverter driven outdoor unit that can be used with new and existing HVAC systems. Students will cover the equipment overview, as well as learn the proper installation and commissioning practices. This class & passing assessment results are required to be able to purchase these units.

•Benefits of a fully communicating inverter system
•Features of Goodman Side Discharge systems
•How Goodman Side Discharge inverter systems differ from single or two stage systems
•How inverter technology is used to control compressor operation
•Proper system configurations
•Goodman GTST connected thermostat.
•System components
•Proper installation techniques
•Checking external static pressure
•Commissioning using the Goodman Installer application
•System verification test
•Charging the system with refrigerant
Class Includes: Study materials, class & test instruction, breakfast and lunch. 7:30 registration & breakfast. Class 8:00am-4:30pm. $35 per person, or $25 per person if sending 2 or more from same company.
