Counter Sales Representative

The Johnstone Supply Counter Sales Representative is a key position focused on solving problems and providing solutions to our contractor customers. Service and support is provided via phone, email, web order, fax and in person at the branch.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for maintaining above average knowledge of products we sell by attending training seminars, engaging vendor relations and utilizing other independent training opportunities
  • Create solutions with Johnstone products and services
  • Process customer orders, warranties and other returns
  • Report inventory outages and discrepancies
  • Respond to customer inquiries on products, application and research that may be required, as well as customer inquiries on aspects of meeting the customers’ needs, such as: will call, delivery, special orders and available training.
  • Assist in the recruitment and development of new customers to enhance Johnstone’s customer base
  • Maintain showroom displays and counter area, including stocking shelves, removing litter, putting away returned items and keeping the showroom clean and organized
  • Work within company processes and guidelines
  • Maintain a safe work environment by working in a safe manner, following current safety rules and maintaining a clean work area
Qualifications:
  • Two years customer service or sales experience; high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer literate
  • Knowledge of HVAC industry, products and solutions preferred
  • Ability to work with others in a team based environment
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to follow instructions and standard work procedures

Material Handler Warehouse

Shipping products timely, accurate and undamaged is critical to our valued customers. The Johnstone Supply Material Handler position is key in ensuring that this happens. With our state of the art barcoding system, coupled with our large warehouses and professional drivers this becomes a standard we lead the industry with.

Responsibilities:
  • To pick timely, accurate orders for counter sales transactions, customer pick-ups, load trucks, branch transfers and UPS shipments and locate products that are received and to accurately and efficiently receive products to the warehouse from outside sources and ensuring that those parts get put away in a timely manner.
Qualifications:

Delivery Driver Local

The primary purpose is to deliver orders to customers in a professional and timely manner. Responsibilities include: driving, route sequencing, order verification, loading and unloading of orders, return service and providing feedback from customers. Hours averaging 45 hours per week.

Responsibilities:
  • *Maintain positive relationships with customers by providing exceptional service that includes accurate and timely delivery of products *Delivers material to/ from customers in a safe manner while complying with all laws dictated by DOT *Fills or assists in filling customer orders by: picking product using RF gun, ensuring accuracy by scanning bar codes, placing and, or packing product into cartons or onto pallet to provide damage free shipment *Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections/ maintenance on assigned truck *Operates hand jack, forklift trucks and other material handling equipment according to safety regulations to pick orders. *Reports any maintenance problems *Maintain a safe work environment by working in a safe manner, following current safety rules, maintaining equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized truck/ warehouse/ work area *Performs general warehouse and other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); six months related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Maintains current required chauffeur driver’s license, with an excellent driving record • Maintains current Medical Examiner’s Certification issued by certified doctor • Must work safely and carefully to prevent injury to self and others while driving, loading and unloading vehicle • Ability to attend to details • Ability to lift 75 pounds on a regular basis • Ability to follow instructions and standard work procedures • Dedicated to ensure an extraordinary customer experience
