In many instances, HVAC systems do not function properly because of valves that are either sized wrong, or applied incorrectly. This course is designed to equip technicians with information to help properly select the right valve needed to fit the application. An emphasis will be placed on the application and functionality of valves used with hot water, chilled water, and steam.

•Sizing valves for flow characteristics and pressure drop
•Differences between 2-way and 3-way valves
•How a mixing valve differs from a diverting valve
•Different strategies used to control valves
•When to use thermostatically controlled valves
