Introduction to Load Calculations – Residential & Light Commercial

This course is designed to introduce participants to the procedures on how to perform proper building load calculations. We will cover measurements for both heating and cooling loads. This course would benefit HVAC Designers, Estimators, Architects, Engineers, Salespeople, and anyone interested in understanding this important topic.

Topics
• Understanding the science of heat transfer
• Learning how different building materials affect heat transfer
• Covering how heat gain/heat loss is affected by conduction, infiltration, and ventilation
• Understanding how load calculations are used for proper equipment selection
Students will perform a hands-on load calculation in class
Items to Bring to Class:  Pencils, calculator, ruler or architect’s scale

Class Includes: Study materials, class instruction, breakfast and lunch.  8:00 registration & breakfast.  Class 8:30am-Noon.  $69pp.
