SORRY – CLASS IS FULL! LIMITED TO 14 STUDENTS! In this course, participants will study the fundamentals of electricity and how it relates to residential heating and cooling controls. In addition, students will learn how to read and interpret wiring diagrams. As part of this hands-on course, participants will assemble and wire a control module that characterizes residential heating and cooling controls.

•Understanding voltage, amperage, and ohms resistance in electrical circuitry
•How to use an electrical multimeter to troubleshoot circuits
•How switches, relays, contactors, and safety devices are used in electrical circuits
•Understanding the difference between pictorial and schematic wiring diagrams
•Differentiating between line voltage & low voltage circuits
•Troubleshooting heating and cooling controls
