Flammable hydrocarbon refrigerants such as propane have been approved for use in specific applications under the EPA’s Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP). Because of this, most commercial refrigeration equipment manufacturers have switched over to propane and isobutane for their entire product line of coolers and freezers.
Topics Include
• A3 Hydrocarbon refrigerant regulations and standards
• Refrigerant handling safety
• Compressor change out
• System flushing, purging, and leak testing
• Servicing procedures
As part of this course, a training manual will be provided in advance that covers the class objectives.
At the end of the course, an open-book assessment will be provided that verifies the comprehension of the course material.
Students who successfully pass the assessment will receive a Course Completion Certificate.
Class Includes: Study manual, class instruction, test & breakfast. 7:30am registration & breakfast. Class 8:00am-Noon.
